| Somera contributes capital to joint ventures managed by real estate operating partners. We choose our operating partners very carefully and perform extensive due diligence on their capabilities and their track record. We seek operating partners who have special knowledge and skills in a specific market or real estate product type. In order to align the operating partner’s interests with Somera’s, the operating partner typically contributes a meaningful amount of equity capital to the transaction relative to its total net worth, and most of its compensation is tied to the success of the investment. |
